Today was the first day of the festival. It was nothing short of an amazing experience. The day was nothing as expected or planned, but it was marvellous. The day started with a plan to watch "Division 19" at 10:00am. We got into the theatre and the movie was changed. We ended up watching a bio clip of a college football player. I ended up laughing about the whole situation and really enjoying the film. About 15 minutes after that film ended, we went and saw "Attack of the Killer Donuts." That movie was as terrible as expected.
Later in the day we got all dressed up and started begging on the street, in the rain, dressed to the nines. It was a frustrating experience, but it was helpful. Eventually, after everyone else got tickets, we knew where to stand to beg. We did not get tickets to the first premiere, so we tried for the second premiere. There a group of 8 of us all together trying to get tickets. First Cole got his, then Alex, then Melissa and Sarah simultaneously. After that Jon came back with three tickets for himself, Hamilton, and Josh. That left me with no ticket. After half an hour later of hoping and praying, I finally got a ticket! Granted, Melissa was the one handed the ticket, but either way I got a hold of one. The red carpet premiere was amazing! We met an Italian woman who lives in England in line. She was very interesting and very nice. We saw the premiere and it the theatre was BEAUTIFUL! All in all it was a very long, wet, tiring, and incredible day!
