I am convinced that I am no good at picking films to watch. This morning I woke up and decided to
see the film Juviniles. This film, unlike the majority of films I have seen before, was just not entertaining. So I dozed off for a little bit in hopes of getting something good out of the experience. After that film, I headed to the Hotel Esterel for a talk with the company Refinery 29. It was quite interesting. It is actually refreshing to see a production company that value women and what they have to offer. They really got me interested in the work that they had done and were planning to do later.
After that talk, a couple of us went home because Hands of Stone got cancelled for no other reason than to make me upset. So we caught the train, changed into more appropriate attire for the night, and headed back to watch Personal Shopper. We stood in line for what was probably no less than 2 hours just to assure that we would get a spot. Lately all of these movies have super long lines outside of them and it is actually not fun to wait in them. However, me and Sara C. Got to me the actors from Teen Star Academy. On the poster it read "Teen Star Acedemy... Dreams Come True." So naturally it must have been a fantastic film. The stars of the film, the children I mean, we're prancing around and screaming. It was actually really funny to think that this film was a legitimate production. After the terribly long wait, we finally got into the theater. Personal Shoper was just, not good. I will hand it to Kirtsen Stewart though. I really do not like her but now I respect her for acting so well in a terrible film. At one point in the film there was a 20 minute sequence of her texting a ghost. A ghost. It was so stupid. By the end of the film, and this is my favorite part, Hamilton along with the rest of the theater busted out laughing at how terrible it was. So naturally I started laughing at what I think was intended to be the most intense scene. In the end I was glad I got to see it. It sure was interesting.
At the end of the night, we headed to McDonals to grab a bite before we grabbed a taxi. I was opposed to eating at McDonalds, but it was our only choice considering the time. We walked in and saw basically everyone. It was refreshing to see farmiliar faces. I ate "McNuggets" or whatever that was and had a coke because I think if I had asked for sweet tea they may have thrown me out. The most upsetting part about French McDonals was the fact that their nuggets came in either 6 or 9. Like what is that? Also they don't have honey mustard but they do have mustard. Like who are you ? Anyways, that was my day. Tomorrow I "plan" on waking up early and catching Captain Fanstic!
